We work hard to get things right, and we take it seriously when we don't.
How we correct
When an article contains a factual error that matters, we fix it as soon as we have confirmed the problem and add a correction note at the end of the article. The note explains what was wrong, what we changed and when. We don't quietly rewrite facts.
Small fixes that don't change the meaning, such as a typo or a broken link, are made without a note.
Updates
Stories move on after we publish them: a recall is extended, a launch is delayed, new data comes out. When we add significant new information to an article, we show the date of the latest update.
Every language
Our articles appear in several languages. When we correct one version, we correct the others as well.
Tell us
If you spot an error, write to [email protected] with the link to the article and the statement you believe is wrong, and add a source if you can. We review every request and reply once we have looked into it.
